Investment Director– Infrastructure (Zurich or Nairobi based) 

In this position, you will independently originate and execute infrastructure equity and debt transactions in Africa's emerging and frontier markets and contribute to the growth of our sustainable infrastructure practice. Based in Zurich or Nairobi, you will work closely with our team in Africa and around the globe. 

Key tasks 

  • Origination of sustainable infrastructure equity and debt transactions in Africa; 
  • Execution of transactions, including due diligence, structuring and negotiation and presentation to the Investment Committee; 
  • Responsibility for post-deal monitoring, reporting, asset management, board representation, exit; 
  • Relationship management and active engagement with the portfolio investments; 
  • Support to business development in fundraising. 

Required skills and experience 

  • At least 8 years of relevant infrastructure advisory or investing experience with a leading bank or investment firm in Africa; 
  • Strong regional industry network among financial investors, advisors, banks and corporates; 
  • Track record of sourcing, negotiating and executing infrastructure transactions in Africa; 
  • Graduate from a leading university or Business School; 
  • Fluency in English, local languages are a plus;

  • Strong communications skills and a high level of comfort in a variety of cultural settings; 
  • Comfortable coordinating and managing internal and external stakeholders under pressure;
